Well -check-, herb bed cleaned up -check-....

Today was a beautiful day! We took care of my Mom's dog,
Rumble, because she was in the hospital. Yesterday she had
pacemaker put in. She did well, it's an out patient surgery, but her
heart is so damage from a heart attack 6 years ago, that the Dr.
wanted to monitor her overnight. She returned home today, tired
and bruised.

This is Rumble, he's a Cairn Terrier
Last night the well driller called to say he's be over around 9 am.
He arrived early, which was fine, because Mike took off work to
be here while they drilled. The dog belongs to the driller and he
was entertaining to say the least because the minute the sand and
gravel started shooting out he was jumping up to get mouths full.
He really got busy when water started coming out, he was soaked
in muddy water by the time the well was finished.

The well is 31-1/2 ft deep and he estimated it was 60+gpm. This
will be nice for use with the animals as well as for irrigation.

From set up to tear down they were here for two hours. Let me tell
for the cost, they make REALLY good money! Now to get the electrical
in and the pump bought( it costs as much as having the well drilled)
The rest of the day we cleaned our herb beds, watered plants,
took care of Mom's dog and did basic chores. I wasn't feeling up
to par, so took it easier today.
This is Mike's weekend off. We need to get the lawn and garden
pump up and running, hoses laid out, tomatoes and walls of water
in the garden, weed whacking done out back, lawn mowers and tiller
all tuned up and oil, filters and spark plugs changed, burn a brush
pile for the neighbor and then if there is time left we'll rest a bit.
Have a blessed and productive weekend everyone!

Very productive! We had a drill rig come to our place when we were building our house. It was actually from an environmental response team that my dh used to work for. The rig operator is a good friend, so he did it for the cost of gas and the first glass of water. LOL Holly

My Dad use to drill wells until he sold the drilling rig to my uncle. You got off pretty good. It usually takes days to drill a well, at least around here. It cost a whole lot more than the pump and wire too. Good job!
