Our journey and life in MT continued

Good morning everyone!

Well we went to Salt Lake City and Cortney underwent a 7-1/2 hour brain surgery. Let me tell you, that was the longest day of my life thus far. She did well and Praise be to God the doctor was able to remove all of the tumor from the right side of her brain. Now the portion that has grown into the left side is another story, it's grown next to the artery and far to dangerous to try to remove it. The remaining portion is 7 mm in size and is shaped like a finger. She will need to undergo some form of treatment, we're waiting on the plan. They are testing the cells of the tumor and then will go to the national database to see which therapies nave worked on killing those cells, it's called cell mapping and the way it was explained is that 2 or more people could have the same tumor diagnosis yet when the actual cells are tested they all would be different. So it's helping them cut out the guessing game portion of treatments now.  Here are a few pictures of her after surgery.
This was the morning after her 7-1/2 hour surgery 2-5-16
Now in her private room after only two days in NCCU. Her Aunts sent her the balloons and she loved them. This was 2-7-16
She was dressed in her new loungeware from Grandma Nita, ready to spring the hospital. 2-8-16. We stayed in SLC for a couple more days just to be sure she was ready for the flight home.
We went to a mall on 2-9-16 and I had this made for her, she loves it!  She is our miracle, walking and talking and has undergone two major craniotomies in less than 7 months and was walking the next morning after surgery. She is a tough Montana cowgirl! Keep her and our family in your prayers.
Have a blessed and productive day, soon we'll have baby goat pictures to share! I'm planning on taking pictures of the prego mamas today!

I hesitate to share this.....

Yesterday was our only Grandaughter's 1st Birthday.  We have not been allowed contact with Jayla since last Easter. I'm not going to go into details but will add that our Ds has also disassociated himself from his entire family, his Father, sister and myself, as well as Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and cousins. I don't even begin to understand this, I've racked my brain over and over again and a still small voice keeps telling me, " It's beyond your control, let it go."  So it is with a heavy heart that we think of our Grandaughter Jayla on her 1st Birthday, wondering how beautiful she must be now, , if she talks, crawls or maybe even walks. She is in our daily prayers and maybe someday we'll get to meet her again, God willing.

Prayers for our community....

It's like a fog and everyone is walking around not knowing how to react to the ambulance call last night. The call was for a possible shooting, multiple victims. We live in a small rural community and word spreads quickly( especially with cell phones, testing and twitter*sigh*)  This is being reported as a possible homicide by the news media because there is a full investigation going at this moment.

Sadly the young man killed is a friend, Mike has a very close relationship with him, as he is employed by Mike. The other young man tried to commit suicide and we don't know whether or not he survived, he was flown by helicopter to the city hospital.  All of this apparently is the result of jealousy over a young woman. It's mind boggling to think that the use of a gun would come first over words or even fists, so..... so... sad.

I take comfort in the Word this morning, to try and make some sense of what has happened. One thing stood out to me in the Word, there is a purpose for everything, even if we don't understand it.  My thoughts and prayers now go out to the family of our friend and the family of the other young man as well. Praying also for our own understanding and being able to deal with all of this sorrow.

What has happened to our society? We NEED to be in daily prayer for our country and it's people. More so now than ever, and as times get more stressful that we don't continue to see these poor choices made. :o(

Such emptiness in this finality of  this death and the loss of such a wonderful, bright, full of zest young man. He will be missed by many who loved him.

I needed to see a beautiful sunrise/sunset today.
I took this from the Internet, it's not anything I photographed

I won't go into detail, as the Lord knows our struggles.
I just am so weighed down with spiritual uneasiness.
In dealing with ongoing issues with my Mom, but it has gotten to
a point that I need to ask that others lift this up in prayer.
I'm humbly admitting I'm frustrated, hurt, stressed emotionally
drained and yes, I'm angry.

Today a series of events happened and I totally lost my temper!
It's not good for Mike, Cortney, myself, my Dad or my Mom.
I feel like I'm at the end of my rope and daily it becomes alittle
harder to see our daily blessings due to all of the emotional
upheaval. I don't like how I feel or how it is all effecting my
family.
