First fire of the season, Yeah! Mike teased me that I was a wimpfor starting a fire this morning, but I have a head cold( shared by Mike)
and I had a terrible chill,and wood heat warms you to the bone!

Sometimes she crawls under the stove and when she gets to hot
moves out to the dining table.

The fire looks pretty inviting to me. Callie sure is marked pretty. I like her black feet. We got in 3 loads of firewood and put a stack on the back porch. we're ready!!...debbie
Looks like Callie knows a good thing when she sees,or should I say feels, one.Don't feel bad, we started our woodburner too. And yes, I'm a wimp. hehehehe

There's nothing like a roaring fire to warm your feet by. It won't belong before we will start burning the wood my husband has been splitting the past few months.

I have been promised wood heat by the weekend!!! We have electric back up in this house but its not doing the trick.. We are Freezing!!Lol
I wanted to put our wood stove going the other night but we just got too busy to be able to sit and enjoy it. I can't wait until we have a fire going again.
We had our first fire of the season on Saturday. It felt soo good and you are right that nothing is quite as nice and warm as wood heat! :)
