BPA free, reusable canning lids These have been around since the early 70's but as usual I'm just finding out about them, via my Backwoods Home Magazine.  I read the testimonials and while they seem wonderful I'm going to order a 3 dozen box of each regular and widemouth and give them a try myself. If they prove good I'll look into ordering 500+( a mix of each reg. and widemouth) Just thought there may be others who haven't heard of Tattler reusable canning lids.

I just tried them for the first time in the pressure canner on my green beans, out of 8 jars 7 sealed and it looked the the one that didn't the rubber ring was a bit warped. I might suggest ordering additional rings because there was at least one more ring in the box that had that slightly warped appearance.
Otherwise so far so good here.

WOW! Thanks for posting and linking about this. I've been canning for more than 40 years and have never heard of re-usable lids.

Thanks Melody for your insight in using these. I'm excited to try them myself.

Kat,
Do you go to facebook? If so a friend of mine over on; http://wyo-helpmeet.blogspot.com/ is rounding up interested parties because the more ordered the better the price. I'm going to try a box of each before I order enough for all our canning jars( almost 900, qts, pints and jelly)
Blessings,
Kelle
