| for those of you who didn't read in the comments, here is our secret....... Hopefully by months end( providing all dots connect) we'll have our mortgage PAID in FULL. We'll be debt free, it's a dream come true. We've been prepaying on our original 15 yr. mortgage and with the help of an investment we'll have enough to pay off the balance. It's been our dream to be debt free for about 10 yrs now. We started by paying down our personal debt and cancelled our one credit card. The last major debt was our mortgage, this is why we only financed for 15 yrs on a conventional loan. We'll be posting pictures of the mortgage burning, YEAH!!!! |

We just bought our place (& it is not a farm) 18 months ago, so we've a long way to go until we reach that point, although we live largely debt free, otherwise.

YAY!!! I am soo happy for ya'll!!!!! We too are trying to get debt free. I hate being a slave to the world. We paid down everything but our student loans and our mortgage(which seems like I will never get paid down)and got rid of our credit cards as well. I like the term Devil cards.:0P We keep a debit card through our bank. I like it cause you can't spend what you don't have! Cheers to you guys! I cannot wait to see the mortgage burning pics!

Thank you all for your wonderful words. We can't wait to say," We're no longer a slave to the world" We're proud of ourselves but it is only by the grace and leading of the Lord that this has happened. What a burden lifted.
You can be sure, as soon as all the red tape is out of the way, we'll be burning the morgage and offering our praises up to the Lord. There WILL be pictures of this event, hopefully soon!
