Next step completed in the Shop :o)

Mike wetting the gravel in prep for the cement trucks arriving at 7 am. We worked until 10pm the night before getting the gravel all leveled and compacted and the screet pegs in place.
The crew all arrive and were ready when the first of 4 trucks( 34 yards total) arrived and began dumping and the men started pulling it to the back corner of the shop.
Great timing the first truck just finished and is cleaning up his shoots when the second truck arrives and begins backing into place.
First half of the 30x60ft shop screeted and now working on third truck unloading into the second half
Third truck the men were dragging it and kept saying that it sure seemed like a lot more work than the first two( *wink* they were tired and slowing down a bit too! LOL!)
They all worked great and we finally finished up with the saw cuts at 9pm  The floor is beautiful and now needs to cure til the end of Sept before driving on it, we can walk on it and use ladders to place the metal siding and roofing. That portion will start hopefully late next week :o)  The plan is to get it all closed in and the three phase electrical hooked up before winter hits, then we can work little by little on getting it all wired, insulated, our coal/ wood stoker installed and sheeted. Psssss, I'm just looking forward to having my garage back*wink*, LOL!!!!  BTW that's Mike third from the left of this photo. He said it was hard work, but it produced a good tired!

Blessings for you Labor Day weekend. We're working on putting hay in the loft of the barn tomorrow and splitting and stacking firewood on Monday( Labor Day right?)  :o)

Awesome building! What all does Mike plan to use it for? Seems we never have enough "barns" on the farm -- they keep getting filled up with stuff! :)

Mark,
Glad to see you post a comment, we miss hearing from you! Yep it was a HUGE job but looks great and ready for metal to be installed which we're picking up in the city today :o) Hope to have all the metal installed and closed in in the nest week or so.
Great hearing from you, made my day :o)

Tracy,
This will be Mike's hydraulioc repair shop but also house all of his hobby stuff to( forge, welder, wood working equipment, etc....) Mike is a very talented man and can do most anything if he puts his mind to it. I think you understand that, you have children like that too :o) I'm just looking forward to having all his tools and eqipment out of my garage, so maybe, just maybe we can actually park in the garage, LOL!!!
Thanks for your comment, we miss talking with all of our friends on Blogger

Blessings,
Kelle
