What is happening? Any thoughts about this? I have my theories but want to know what your think.

At first I was thinking some sort of super fungus that works across all types of plant life; kind of like what I deal with here as black rot. The fact that it is on gardens, trees, weeds, everything - is startling. I wonder if it is also on grass.

However, if the bird deaths are related that changes things. It would be very odd for a fungus to also work across animal life.

They need to get tests run now, and find out what this is. If it is a fungus, we are all going to be in incredible trouble.

The organic grower stated her neighbors sprayed and their plants have it as well, it would be nice to know what they were spraying for.

They mentioned the area, but not the size of it. That would be interesting to know as well. I hope to hear the results.

It has to be something carried by air. Perhaps there is a factory nearby? terrorists trying to ruin our food supply? If it's killing birds it has to be something airborne, and very strong. A problems for sure! Keep us informed as to what it might be...debbie

Seems a bit strange. It wouldn't surprise me if "crop Dusting", if you will is taking place.

Making Americans alarmed about contaminated food sources so that the dependency upon government food is greater.

I could be a bit ummm, paranoid, but don't really think so.

I would love to hear your thoughts.

Okay ladies, here is what I think, of course it is all speculation at this point though*wink*. I think it could be as suggested by a friend in the area, a chemical vapor in the air released by a neighboring Dupont plant, maybe it is an example of crop dusting gone wrong, don't think it would be terrorism, or maybe something in the water supply they all use to water with. How about chem trails for planes, maybe it is coming down in the rain. The EPA has been asked to do a study to see what this is, but I don't think it is a fungus, that wouldn't have killed the baby bird. Whatever it is, it is sad that these farmers may loose their crops and the woman with the Organic farm could loose her Organic title.

Sandra, sorry your couldn't view this but it was a news report from a local station about an area of crops( certain local) that have been damaged by an unknown source. The plants( flowers, herbs, veggies, fruit trees, etc....) all show signs of some sort of burns on their leaves. On corn it is white and on other leaves it is a dusty white powder and o yet more plants it looks like a chemical burn( such as Roundup creates). One farm affected is Organic and doesn't use anything and their herbs, plum trees, produce etc.... are all showing sighns of damage and it is feared the crops will die.

Blessings,
Kelle

Hey Kelle, I'm going with chemtrails. Millions of tonnes of chemicals and poisons are being dumped on us every single day via overhead traffic. Betcha an airplane dumped a chemtrail on them.

I think All American x5 may be right. Sometimes things like this are "trial runs" to predict things like - crop reaction, the population's reaction, and apathy of the masses. Oops! Did I just say that! Why, I sound like one of those fringe, right-wingers who don't have a clue!

Interesting that I live here and find out about it on a blog from MT!

We've had two significant events here lately: the flooding and the chemical leak at DuPont, that could be related, but those aren't quite recent enough, I'd think.

Will be watching the news for any follow-up.

I don't know where this was located but a friend sent me the text of this link and a question about the dispersant Corexit that was used for the oil spill...

This is terrible - thanks Kelle for posting the video.
