Our chicks at 8 days

This was March 25th, the day they arrived
In the photo below they are 8 days old
Tomorrow they will be moved outside to the brooder coop, they are getting smelly, noisy and adding unwanted dust to our already dust house.*wink* It's always fun to have them inside, for about a week :o)
I need to run I'm borrowing my neighbor's computer, ours is still giving fits.
Blessings for your week

Aww, they are darling. Perhaps I am lucky I can't smell them from here, huh? ;)

I love watching chicks. What gets on my nerves though, is my dog loves to watch them too. She drives me crazy trying to watch them all the time.

well, maybe now they are getting distastefully smelly, but the smell they off later in cooking is most desired :o) I think I'd love to have a smell of chickens if they were mine :o( sniffling Poor me!

Our son Jonathan got his 100 Rhode Island Reds a week ago today. Since the sow and piglets (and a goat and her 2 kids) are in the usual spot for chicks he had to create a brooder in our old semi trailer. It would have been great, except on one of the colder nights (which was the chick's 1st night here)the heater quit and brought it from 95 down to only 62 degrees. He lost about 5 to pneumonia. Thankfully the rest are doing great.

Glad to see you writing when you can!

So cute! I'm hoping one of my hens will go broody this year. I'd love to have some chicks again.
